HOW IT WORKS
RED ROAD EARTH IN THREE PHASES
Year 1:
Tech and database build-out
In collaboration with the San Carlos Apache and Yavapai-Apache Nations, we aim to log 500 data entries, as well as train 20 tribal members in AI tech and data harvesting methods.
Year 2:
Expansion and
Institutional partnerships
Expansion to include other tribal nations, as well as partner with local schools, universities, and museums to integrate Native ecological knowledge into formal curricula.
Year 3:
End-user mobile app
Develop a donation-based end user app for outdoor enthusiasts, herbalists and cultural preservation advocates - enhancing public appreciation for Native ecological knowledge.
WHY WE SHARE THIS NOW
Though Red Road Earth is in its early stages, we are guided by a growing network of tribal community members, tech professionals, foundations, and stewards of traditional knowledge.
While we are still in the process of securing full funding for Phase I, we believe in the power of sharing this vision openly as we lay the groundwork.
